Today was an exciting day at Robert G Allen Photography. The delivery of the Nikon D6 flagship Nikon camera! You can be sure I will be putting it through it’s paces soon. First impressions are that it’s a heavy camera and the shutter is loud. Just after a few shots, the auto focus appears to be sure of it’s self, even in 3D mode. Overall, very impressive. I think if the world was coming to an end, the ruggedness of the body would ensure that this would be the last camera standing and possibly, the only thing standing.
Expect a review coming after putting this dream machine through its paces.

Nikon D6 product tour video
Today, I received the Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.4 mirrorless lens. Considering that it’s not a S line lens, the build quality is pretty good. It’s light and the lens hood is not too big or too small. I would say overall, the design has a pleasing esthetic compact look.
