Corey Rich, one of the original group of Nikon Ambassadors, shot one of the most iconic promotional photos for Alex Honnold’s free solo climb of the Taipei 101 building as seen below:

A quote from Corey’s blog: “Last fall, I had the chance to accompany Alex Honnold on a scouting mission in Taiwan as he prepared for something truly unreal: free soloing Taipei 101, a 1,667-foot skyscraper. I was honored to shoot the photography and key art for Netflix to promote this global live event on January 23.” We all know now that the event didn’t happen until January 25, 2026, depending on what time zone your in.
