Nikon D3x with the 24-70 mm f/2.8 G lens

Nikon is no longer producing or selling the SB-500 Speedlight small flash unit. I have the flash and I use it for family events. It’s small and light and is powered by 2 double AA batteries.

This leaves their flagship SB-5000, SB-700, and their SB-R200 macro flash units still left in their Speedlight flash lineup.

By the way, I thought I was hot shit using the D3x Nikon DSLR. It was the most expensive camera Nikon has ever made, including both DSLR and mirrorless cameras!

Let me know in the comments below if you used this little gem of a flash, the Nikon SB500 speedlight.
