I thought I would take out the Nikon COOLPIX P1100 this morning around 4:00 AM (so you didn’t have to, thank you) for a few photos of the buck moon at its almost full moon phase.

Full buck moon in July

Full Buck Moon with the Nikon COOLPIX P1100 camera at 2400mm.

The P1100 did a great job and sure comes in handy for these types of celestial events.

Up coming full moons remaining for 2025:

  • August 9: Sturgeon moon

  • September 7: Corn moon

  • October 6: Harvest moon

  • November 5: Beaver moon

  • December 4: Cold moon

Let me know in the comments below (no sign-in required) what you use for moon photos.
