The first thing I noticed was how light the NIKKOR Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S lens was compared to the NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR lens. As for size, it is slightly shorter then the 180-600mm but not by much. The difference in weight is more noticeable then the length difference.

Now for the big decision. Do I get rid of the NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR lens or keep it along with the NIKKOR Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S lens. Let me know in the comments below what you think I should do.

One of my all time favorite lens for portraits was the Nikon Nikkor AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/2.8G ED VR II F- mount lens. If this new Z lens is even close to the performance of the older lens (which I’m sure it will be or better), this is sure to be a popular addition to the Z line of optics.
